LUSAKA WOMEN IN PEACEFUL GENDER PROTEST

Women from different walks of life gathered outside the Lusaka High Court to register their displeasure at the rising number of gender violence cases.
The women were particularly protesting
Women dressed in black clothes carried placards along the Independence Avenue and proceededc to present a petition to Gender Minister Inonge Wina for the authorities to address the cases of murder and violence against women.
The women were particularly concerned about gruesome murders of women in Lusaka.
Ardent gender activist Sara Longwe said the women movement was worried about the security of women.
